NORIENT ONLINE SPECIAL

The Norient Special «Politics of Curatorship» asks how curatorial practices operate and bring together a program of events, ideas, or methods, and attempts to overcome the idea of having centralized control over an artistic product. In various essays, academic articles, video and photo essays from international theorists and practitioners, we assemble a multi-centric, multi-voiced range of thoughts and approaches, seeking to disentangle the multifaceted ubiquitous term curation from any formalized definition.

Initiated as part of Norient Film Festival 2022, and edited by Monia Acciari and Philipp Rhensius, it is a two-fold publication consisting of a digital publication for late 2021 and a printed book issue for winter 2022.

A project by Norient – an audio-visual gallery for the sound of the world.
