In einer audiovisuellen Reise führen die Künstler*innen Pauline Bédarida und Jan Moszumański durch die Villa – das Community-Haus des legendären ugandischen Musiklabels Nyege Nyege in Kampala. Von der Musikproduktion aus nächster Nähe über Kochsessions bis hin zu einer spontanen Party, geben die Videos einen intimen Einblick in das Leben der lokalen Musiker*innen. Dabei diskutieren sie mit Claudia Popovici und Lea Heimann über die Motivationen lokaler Künstler*innen und die Bedeutung von Gemeinschaft und Zusammenarbeit durch Musik.

In an audio-visual journey moderated by Claudia Popovici and Lea Heimann, the artists Pauline Bédarida and Jan Moszumański will walk through the Villa – the community music house in Kampala of the legendary Ugandan music label Nyege Nyege. From close-ups of music production and cooking sessions to a spontaneous party, one gets an intimate view of the lives of the local musicians. In between, they discuss the urgencies and motivations of local artists and the relevance of community and collaboration through music.
