Philipp Rhensius ist Autor, Musiker, Kurator und Editor von Norient und lebt in Berlin. Seine Arbeit ist von der Idee angetrieben, dass das Fühlen der Ketten ein erster Schritt der Emanzipation ist. Seine Essays und Artikel erschienen u.a. in Taz, Spex, FAZ, NZZ, WOZ und mehreren Buchbänden. Rhensius betreibt das Musiklabel Arcane Patterns, hostet einen Podcast auf Noods Radio und den experimentellen Blog Reality Glitch auf taz.de. Im August 2022 erschien das Debütalbum seines neuen Projekts Alienationist, gefolgt von der EP Rewind The Century als Kl.ne, die beide Sonic Fiction mit Poetry und viszeralen Clubsounds verschalten. Anfang 2023 erscheint das von ihm herausgegebene Buch Politics of Curatorship (mit Monia Acciari) bei Norient Books.

Rhensius ist Teil der erweiterten Programmgruppe der diesjährigen Festivalausgabe.

Philipp Rhensius is a Berlin-based writer, musician, curator, and editor of Norient. His projects are driven by the idea that feeling the chains is the first step toward emancipation. His essays and articles have been published in Taz, Spex, FAZ, NZZ, WOZ, and several book volumes. Rhensius runs the music label Arcane Patterns, hosts a monthly music podcast on Noods Radio, and the experimental blog Reality Glitch on taz.de. In 2022, he released his debut album with his new project Alienationist, followed by EP Rewind The Century as Kl.ne, both merging sonic fiction with poetry and visceral club sounds. In early 2023, his book Politics of Curatorship (with Monia Acciari), will be published by Norient Books.

Rhensius is part of the extended program group of this year’s festival edition.
