Nico Manzano ist ein 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela geborener Filmregisseur und Musiker. Nach Abschluss seines Studiums als Grafikdesigner spezialisierte er sich an der Escuela de Cine de Barcelona (ECIB) in Spanien auf Kinematografie. Er hat bei über 70 Musikvideos, Live-Visuals und Werbespots Regie geführt. Me and The Beasts ist sein erster Spielfilm, der auf dem Mar del Plata Film Festival (Argentinien) und den Tallinn Black Nights (Estland) uraufgeführt wurde. Nico Manzano is a film director and musician born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1986. After finishing his studies as a graphic designer, he specialized in cinematography at Escuela de Cine de Barcelona (ECIB) in Spain. He has directed several music videos, live visuals, and commercials. Me & the Beasts is his first feature film, which premiered at the Mar del Plata Film Festival (Argentina) and Tallinn Black Nights (Estonia). His tour has continued with projections and exhibitions in New York, San Diego, Chicago, Milwaukee, Albuquerque, and Washington in the United States; Grenoble and Lyon in France; and Cartagena de Indias in Colombia. In 2022, he won the award for best director at the Kimolos International Festival (Greece) and five awards at the 18^th Venezuelan Film Festival, including best fiction film and best direction.
